Gooderson Monks Cowl Golf Resort, Champagne Valley

Our family had a blast at this resort! There were so many activities for both kids and adults, like putt putt and a great pool area. We enjoyed our meals, especially with the new temporary restaurant serving delicious lamb curry and a scrumptious breakfast. However, the recent restaurant fire was a setback, but they managed well under the circumstances. Overall, definitely a good value for a family getaway, despite needing to fix the potholes nearby.

My stay was truly enjoyable, as the accommodation was excellent and the service outstanding. The location was beautiful, but I did face some challenges with the rough roads. The dining experience was delightful, particularly the atmosphere of the new restaurant, though I wish I could have spent more leisure time on-site. Overall, it's a great spot for a quick escape, balancing comfort and value well.

The rooms are neat and well-equipped, although the dining options are overpriced and can be a downside. Overall, the service is excellent with staff going above and beyond to ensure a memorable stay.

This resort has its ups and downs. While my stay was marred by cleanliness issues and poor security, I also experienced a serene, cozy stay with excellent, accommodating staff during another visit. The amenities were comfortable, yet left a lot to be desired in terms of upkeep and safety. If they put in the effort to update and maintain the facilities, it could be a lovely escape.
